Programs Master of Science in Physiotherapy

The Master of Science in Physiotherapy (MSc) program at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Prishtina, is dedicated to being internationally recognized for practice and research through devoted clinical, academic and professional excellence. The program is research-oriented, bringing together education and experts in research as well as clinical practice providing a remarkable student experience.

The goal of this program is to develop highly competent academic practitioners and researchers,  who will consistently demonstrate the essential competencies of practicing physiotherapy in a wide range of settings. Upon graduation students are expected to be able to share their knowledge with students, clients, policymakers, and other professionals in academic health science environments, and participate in clinical and health care research. They will also be able to gather and analyze scientific evidence, identify professional issues, practice sound decision-making, exercise good judgment and engage in best practices as well as lifelong learning. They will develop competence and ethical sensitivity towards individuals and groups and demonstrate these attributes in their clinical practice.

This study program is considered as a continuation of established Bachelor studies in Physiotherapy, which are in accordance with educational physiotherapy policies worldwide.

 Learning Outcomes of the Study Program are:

- strengthening research capacities, skills, concepts and knowledge related to the practice of evidence-based physiotherapy

- gaining multi-disciplinary and specific inter-professional academic knowledge about the impacts of different health sectors on the practice of physiotherapy

- improving internationalization and mobility within the MSc cycle

- creation of a common knowledge base on the development and implementation of the MSc program through capacities and measures for institution building

- preparing graduate students to become good practitioners in their field
